Zestra 2026 Talent Quiz
03-Mar-2026CIRS participated in Zestra 2026, organized by Karunya Institute of Technology and Sciences on 26 February 2026. In the Future Generation TechTalk event, Saptarishi Pal of Grade VIII secured First Place. In the Technology Quiz, the CIRS team comprising Devansh Mazumdar, Anirudh Perumala, and Arnav Anand secured Third Place. The winners were felicitated with certificates and trophies in recognition of their achievements.
CIRS Students Excel in Trinity Music Examination
25-Feb-2026We are proud to announce the remarkable success of our students in the Trinity Music Examination conducted by Trinity College London (Nov–Dec Session). A special congratulations to Yuvika Agarwal of Class VIII, who topped the Nov–Dec session with an exceptional score of 99/100. Her outstanding performance reflects her dedication, passion for music, and consistent hard work. The Trinity Music Exams provide an internationally recognized platform for students to demonstrate their musical proficiency, technical expertise, and performance confidence. Our students showcased excellent preparation and artistic expression during their assessments.
CIRS - Solo Instrumental Competition for Junior School
18-Feb-2026The Junior School students participated enthusiastically in the Solo Instrumental Competition. The young performers showcased their musical talents confidently in front of the judges, playing a variety of instruments such as guitar, keyboard, drums, and tabla. It was truly soothing to listen to the beautiful melodies and the different styles presented by each participant. The event highlighted the students’ dedication, practice, and passion for music, making it a delightful and memorable experience for everyone present.
Maha Shivaratri Celebration
15-Feb-2026CIRS reverently celebrated Maha Shivaratri on 15 February 2026 with devotion and spiritual fervour. In the early morning, students participated in the sacred chanting of the “Om Tryambakam Yajamahe” (Maha Mrityunjaya Mantra), during which the Shivaratri Homam was performed. The powerful vibrations of the mantra created a serene and spiritually uplifting atmosphere across the campus. From 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., a special Shivaratri programme was conducted, highlighting the significance of the day through prayers and devotional activities. The celebration instilled spiritual awareness, discipline, and devotion among the students.
KHEL MELA – CIRS Sports Meet 2026
03-Feb-2026Chinmaya International Residential School proudly hosted “Khel Mela – CIRS Sports Meet 2026” on February 3 and 4, 2026, with great enthusiasm and vibrant participation from students across all grades. The Opening Ceremony was presided over by Dr. M. S. Nagarajan, Ph.D., Regional Sports Director, Special Olympics Bharat, who inspired the gathering with his encouraging words on sportsmanship and perseverance. Smt. Shanti Krishnamurthy, Director (Academics & Administration), graced the occasion and motivated students to strive for excellence both on and off the field. The two-day event showcased remarkable athletic talent, teamwork, discipline, and true sporting spirit, making Khel Mela 2026 a grand success.

19-Jan-2026The Chinmaya Mathematics Olympiad on 19th January 2026 and the Chinmaya Science Olympiad on 21st January 2026, organised by the CCMT Education Cell, were successfully conducted at CIRS, encouraging students to enhance their analytical and scientific thinking skills.
National Youth Day Celebration
12-Jan-2026CIRS joyfully celebrated National Youth Day, commemorating the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda, whose life and teachings continue to inspire the youth of the nation. The programme began on a serene and auspicious note with a morning Sanskrit song, beautifully rendered by the students. The soulful rendition created a calm and reflective atmosphere, setting the tone for the day and invoking timeless values of wisdom, strength, and inner awakening. Following this, an inspiring address highlighted the theme “The Inner Strength Within”, reminding students that true power lies in self-discipline, confidence, and service to society. Students actively participated through meaningful talks and musical presentations that echoed Swami Vivekananda’s message to the youth. To translate these ideals into action, students took part in team-building and experiential learning activities conducted outdoors. These activities promoted cooperation, leadership, problem-solving, and unity, reinforcing the importance of working together with purpose and trust. The celebration concluded with a renewed sense of motivation among students to lead their lives with courage, compassion, and responsibility. National Youth Day at CIRS was observed as a meaningful occasion that inspired every student to strive for excellence and strong character.
CIRS - Thyagaraja Aradhana Day
09-Jan-20269th January witnessed Chinmaya Vraja come alive in honour of Sant Thyagaraja, as CIRS celebrated Thyagaraja Aradhana with great devotion and enthusiasm. Students and teachers alike took to the stage, presenting a series of soulful and spectacular performances that paid tribute to the legendary composer and saint. The celebration was a harmonious blend of music, culture, and tradition, leaving the audience deeply inspired.
CIRS - Staff Orientation (Zoho)
03-Jan-2026On 3rd January, CIRS hosted a one-day professional development workshop titled “AI as a Co-Teacher – Empowering Teachers with Intelligent Assistants”, in collaboration with the team from Zoho. The workshop was conducted for all teachers of CIRS with the aim of introducing the effective use of Artificial Intelligence in teaching and learning practices. The Zoho team provided insightful sessions on various AI tools, techniques, and intelligent assistants that can support lesson planning, content creation, assessment, and classroom engagement. Teachers actively participated in the hands-on sessions and gained practical exposure to integrating AI into their daily teaching workflows. The programme emphasized how AI can act as a supportive co-teacher—enhancing productivity, encouraging innovation, and enabling more personalized learning experiences for students. The workshop proved to be highly enriching and forward-looking, equipping CIRS educators with essential digital skills to embrace emerging technologies in education and continue delivering impactful learning experiences.
