The programme was organized around the global theme "Now for Climate", highlighting the urgent need for collective action to address environmental challenges. The event featured the inauguration of the School Vegetable Garden, fostering an appreciation for sustainable agriculture and healthy living among students. An innovative Digital Botanical Garden Initiative was also launched, where QR codes were generated for various plants, enabling students to access botanical information through technology. The celebration further included a sapling planting ceremony, environmental awareness activities, and a Green Earth Pledge, reaffirming the commitment of students and staff towards protecting the environment. The programme effectively conveyed the essence of dharma and the timeless wisdom of the Bhagavad Gita, highlighting core values such as righteousness, discipline, and self-awareness. Through a thoughtfully coordinated and engaging presentation, the teachers emphasized the relevance of these spiritual principles in the lives of students, encouraging character building and holistic development. Chinmaya Vidyalaya, Kollengode, successfully hosted Balotsav 2026 on March 28, creating a vibrant atmosphere of cultural immersion for our students in Grades 1–5. ​The event was designed to provide a holistic experience, blending traditional values with modern learning. Students participated in a variety of enriching activities, including: ​Spiritual Growth: Engaging in soul-stirring Bhajans and mindful Yoga sessions. ​Creative Expression: Interactive Storytelling and "Cooking Fun" workshops. ​Cultural Connection: Educational visits to local heritage sites and participating in time-honored traditional games. ​This "Day of Joy, Learning & Culture" served as a wonderful platform for our young learners to connect with their roots while building lasting memories with their peers. The Bala Vihar Programme was successfully conducted at Chinmaya Vidyalaya, Kollengode for students of Grades 1 to 5.
