India celebrated its 77th Republic Day on January 26, 2026. Chinmaya Vidyalaya, Bokaro also celebrated this special day. Acharya Swamini Samyuktananda Saraswati of Chinmaya Mission Bokaro was present as the Chief Guest for the ceremony. President, Shri Biswarup Mukhopadhyay, Secretary Shri Mahesh Tripathi, Principal Shri Suraj Sharma, and Vice-Principal Shri Narmendra Kumar were present. The Republic Day celebrations at Chinmaya Vidyalaya, Bokaro began with the flag hoisting ceremony. Following this, Swamini Samyuktananda Saraswati released tricolor balloons, conveying the message of freedom. The school's NCC group then marched and saluted all the distinguished guests seated on the stage. The students enthralled everyone with their patriotic songs. The little children of Nursery and Prep presented a dance performance on patriotic songs, which charmed everyone. Yashasvi of Class 9-B recited a motivational poem based on Rani Lakshmibai of Jhansi, filling the hearts of all parents and students with patriotic fervor. Following this, a special play based on "Operation Sindoor" infused the entire school ground with enthusiasm.

The fifth day of the month of Magha is known as Basant Panchami. This auspicious day marks the arrival of spring (Basant) and the worship of Goddess Saraswati, the goddess of knowledge and learning. The auspicious festival of Basant Panchami is special for everyone, especially students. Saraswati Puja was organized at Chinmaya Vidyalaya, Bokaro on Friday, January 23rd. Students and teachers participated in the puja with great devotion. The Saraswati Puja was performed by Shri Udit Pandey and Shri Manish Pandey, teachers from the Sanskrit department of the school. The school principal, Shri Suraj Sharma, was present as the chief host. Also present were Acharya Swamini Samyuktananda Saraswati of Chinmaya Mission, Bokaro, school secretary Shri Mahesh Tripathi, and Vice-Principal Shri Narmendra Kumar.

Inter House Volleyball Competition 2026 at CV Bokaro

Sports is very important in everyone's life. It helps maintain good physical and mental health. An inter-house volleyball competition was organized at Chinmaya Vidyalaya, Bokaro on Saturday, 17th January 2026. Players from all four houses of the school – Agni, Vayu, Jal, and Prithvi – participated. All the players displayed excellent sportsmanship. Principal Shri Suraj Sharma, was present during the competition. In the final match, Vayu House defeated Prithvi House with scores of 25-13 and 26-24 to claim the victory. In the initial matches of the day, Vayu House defeated Agni House with scores of 25-16 and 28-26, and Prithvi House defeated Jal House with scores of 25-17 and 25-07 to secure their places in the final. The final match was then played between Vayu and Prithvi. Vayu House emerged victorious, defeating Prithvi House with scores of 25-13 and 26-24. Principal Mr. Suraj Sharma met all the teams and wished them good luck.

Kites flying high in the sky not only symbolizes the festivity of Makar Sankranti, but also the motivation to fly high freely and to overcome the adversities of Life. To mark the joy of Makar Sankranti, Chinmaya Vidyalaya, Bokaro conducted a kite flying activity on Friday, 16th January 2026 for the primary and middle wing students. Principal Shri Suraj Sharma inaugurated the session by himself flying kite. The School playground was filled with excitement and smiling faces as students enthusiastically participated in the activity, bringing colourful and child-friendly kites.

'It is said, that God could not be present with everyone in person, so he sent mothers...' To honor the sacred bond of motherhood and to pay gratitude to mothers, Matri Puja was organized at Chinmaya Vidyalaya, Bokaro on Friday, January 16, 2026. In this special Puja, students from classes 3rd to 5th worshipped their respective mothers. The students performed Mari Puja under the guidance of Acharya Swamini Samyuktananda Saraswati of Chinmaya Mission, Bokaro. School's Secretary, Shri Mahesh Tripathi, Principal Shri Suraj Sharma, and Vice-Principal Shri Narmendra Kumar were present during the Puja. Also present was the Academic Supervisor of the Middle Wing, Mrs. Rashmi Singh. Matri Puja began with a prayer to mothers. Acharya Swamini Samyuktananda Saraswati, along with teacher Mrs. Kumari Sarita, performed the Puja. Following this, the students took a pledge and performed Aarti for their mothers. Swamini Samyuktananda Saraswati, while describing the importance of mothers to the students, said that a mother is live God Himself. There is no greater worship than the worship and adoration of one's mother. After this, Swamini Samyuktananda Saraswati meditated on Goddess Durga, the embodiment of Shakti, and chanted her 108 names, with the students offering a flower at their mothers' feet with each name.

On the auspicious occasion of Makar Sankranti, a recitation of Shri Vishnu Sahasranama was organized at Chinmaya Vidyalaya, Bokaro on Thursday, January 15, 2026. Devotees recited the thousand names of Lord Vishnu and performed his worship with due rituals. The Vishnu Sahasranama recitation was conducted by Acharya Swamini Samyuktananda Saraswati of Chinmaya Mission, Bokaro. School's President, Shri Biswarup Mukhopadhyay, Secretary Shri Mahesh Tripathi, Principal Shri Suraj Sharma, Vice-Principal Shri Narmendra Kumar, and several other teachers were also present.

FUNTASTIC WINTER - Winter Camp 2026 at Chinmaya Vidyalaya, Bokaro

The 'Funtastic Winter Camp' for students began on Friday, 9th January at Chinmaya Vidyalaya, Bokaro. This three-day camp will help students move beyond textbook learning and contribute to their holistic development. This is the fifth edition of the camp. An inaugural ceremony was held on the first day of the camp. The school's Secretary, Shri Mahesh Tripathi, Principal Shri Suraj Sharma, and Vice-Principal Shri Narmendra Kumar were present. All the school's teachers and a total of 267 students are participating in the camp. The camp began with the lighting of the lamp. During the inaugural ceremony, Secretary Shri Mahesh Tripathi addressed the students. He said, that this is a very special opportunity for students to learn and discover new things. He explained that students will learn many new skills during these three days. He wished all the students well and said that such camps strengthen students at a social level.

New Year marks the fresh start and new beginning in all aspects of life. The noise of celebrations to welcome NEW YEAR 2026 can be still heard around the World. Chinmaya Vidyalaya, Bokaro, best known for its cultural and traditional vibrance, celebrated the New Year 2026 by praising the Divine. Sundarkand Path was organized for teachers, staffs, students and parents on 1st January 2026. Chinmaya Premises was full of echoes of "Jai Shree Ram". The Sundarkand recitation was performed by Swamini Samyuktananda Saraswati, Acharya of Chinmaya Mission Bokaro, and Shri Pankaj Mishra, the school's library teacher. Vice Principal, Shri Narmendra Kumar sat as the host. President Shri Biswarup Mukhopadhyay and Secretary Shri Mahesh Tripathi were also present during the event.
