On 3rd January, CIRS hosted a one-day professional development workshop titled “AI as a Co-Teacher – Empowering Teachers with Intelligent Assistants”, in collaboration with the team from Zoho. The workshop was conducted for all teachers of CIRS with the aim of introducing the effective use of Artificial Intelligence in teaching and learning practices. The Zoho team provided insightful sessions on various AI tools, techniques, and intelligent assistants that can support lesson planning, content creation, assessment, and classroom engagement. Teachers actively participated in the hands-on sessions and gained practical exposure to integrating AI into their daily teaching workflows. The programme emphasized how AI can act as a supportive co-teacher—enhancing productivity, encouraging innovation, and enabling more personalized learning experiences for students. The workshop proved to be highly enriching and forward-looking, equipping CIRS educators with essential digital skills to embrace emerging technologies in education and continue delivering impactful learning experiences.

Inauguration of New Auditorium at CIRS on 6th September, 2025.

As part of Science Week, the Department of Sciences hosted its Science Expo on July 25th, turning the campus into a center of exploration and innovation. With over 140 activities and models across Biology, Physics, Chemistry, and Environmental Science, the Expo drew great enthusiasm from students. Presentations ranged from life processes and principles of motion to chemical reactions and sustainability concepts, brought to life through interactive models, charts, digital displays, and experiments. The event also welcomed around 50 schools from in and around Coimbatore, making it a vibrant academic gathering. The Expo not only celebrated scientific curiosity but also fostered collaboration, communication, and hands-on learning, leaving participants inspired by the wonders of science.
