CELEBRATION OF NATIONAL YOUTH DAY

CIRS joyfully celebrated National Youth Day, commemorating the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda, whose life and teachings continue to inspire the youth of the nation. The programme began on a serene and auspicious note with a morning Sanskrit song, beautifully rendered by the students. The soulful rendition created a calm and reflective atmosphere, setting the tone for the day and invoking timeless values of wisdom, strength, and inner awakening. Following this, an inspiring address highlighted the theme “The Inner Strength Within”, reminding students that true power lies in self-discipline, confidence, and service to society. Students actively participated through meaningful talks and musical presentations that echoed Swami Vivekananda’s message to the youth. To translate these ideals into action, students took part in team-building and experiential learning activities conducted outdoors. These activities promoted cooperation, leadership, problem-solving, and unity, reinforcing the importance of working together with purpose and trust. The celebration concluded with a renewed sense of motivation among students to lead their lives with courage, compassion, and responsibility. National Youth Day at CIRS was observed as a meaningful occasion that inspired every student to strive for excellence and strong character.

The 'Funtastic Winter Camp' for students began on Friday, 9th January at Chinmaya Vidyalaya, Bokaro. This three-day camp will help students move beyond textbook learning and contribute to their holistic development. This is the fifth edition of the camp. An inaugural ceremony was held on the first day of the camp. The school's Secretary, Shri Mahesh Tripathi, Principal Shri Suraj Sharma, and Vice-Principal Shri Narmendra Kumar were present. All the school's teachers and a total of 267 students are participating in the camp. The camp began with the lighting of the lamp. During the inaugural ceremony, Secretary Shri Mahesh Tripathi addressed the students. He said, that this is a very special opportunity for students to learn and discover new things. He explained that students will learn many new skills during these three days. He wished all the students well and said that such camps strengthen students at a social level.

9th January witnessed Chinmaya Vraja come alive in honour of Sant Thyagaraja, as CIRS celebrated Thyagaraja Aradhana with great devotion and enthusiasm. Students and teachers alike took to the stage, presenting a series of soulful and spectacular performances that paid tribute to the legendary composer and saint. The celebration was a harmonious blend of music, culture, and tradition, leaving the audience deeply inspired.

As part of the 75th Chinmaya Amritotsav celebrations, a Geeta Panchamrit Mass Chanting was reverentially conducted in the school premises. The sacred verses of the Bhagavad Gita were chanted collectively by teachers and students, creating an atmosphere charged with devotion, discipline, and spiritual harmony. The teachers led the chanting with clarity and devotion, while the children followed with enthusiasm and focus, experiencing the joy of learning and reciting the timeless wisdom of the Gita together. The session not only enhanced pronunciation and rhythm but also instilled values of faith, unity, and inner awareness among the students. This meaningful spiritual initiative stood as a tribute to Pujya Gurudev Swami Chinmayanandaji, reinforcing Chinmaya Mission’s vision of nurturing young minds through India’s spiritual heritage. The mass chanting was a soulful and memorable experience for all participants, marking a significant moment in the Amritotsav celebrations.
