With a profound message of environmental conservation and ecological responsibility, Chinmaya Vidyalaya, Bokaro observed Van Mahotsav Week from July 1st - 7th July with immense fervor. This year, the initiative was organized under the overarching theme, "Healing the Earth through Greener Initiatives." Throughout the week-long campaign, students actively participated in a diverse range of eco-friendly activities. Nature Walk: The week commenced with an experiential 'Nature Walk' organized for the students of Grade 3, allowing them to closely observe flora and appreciate ecological beauty. Poster-Making Competition: Exhibiting their artistic vision, the students of Grade 4 participated in a poster-making competition, where their creative illustrations conveyed powerful messages regarding environmental protection. The Green Pledge & Street Play: Students from Grades 5 to 10 advanced the campaign by taking a solemn 'Green Pledge', committing themselves to lifelong environmental stewardship and the adoption of sustainable practices. Additionally, they performed an impactful Nukkad Natak centered on the Van Mahotsav theme, effectively raising awareness about afforestation and conservation. Mass Tree Plantation: Serving as a major highlight of the week, students from Grades 6 to 10 executed a plantation drive. By planting saplings within the school premises and surrounding areas, they contributed proactively toward building a healthier, greener planet. The plantation drive was graced by key members of the school management, faculty, and administration, including Secretary Shri Mahesh Tripathi, Principal Shri Suraj Sharma and Senior Vice Principal Shri Narmendra Kumar. Also present were Mr. Shaibal Gupta & Ms. Shreya Gupta - faculty of Science, who guided the students throughout the drive. During the drive, a diverse variety of flora was planted, including fruit-bearing, medicinal, and resilient plants such as Mango, Jamun (Java Plum), Guava, Peepal, Periwinkle, Aloe Vera, Neem, and Cactus. The school management noted that successive batches of students participated in this plantation drive daily over the course of the week. Principal Shri Suraj Sharma said, "Van Mahotsav is a celebration of nature and a vital reminder of our collective responsibility to protect the environment. Trees are our life-support system—they provide oxygen, preserve biodiversity, regulate the climate, and sustain life on Earth. Cultivating a deep bond with nature is essential to developing into a socially responsible citizen."

The 'Library on Wheels' mobile book exhibition, organized by the National Book Trust (NBT) under the Ministry of Education, Government of India, is currently underway as part of the 'Bihar-Jharkhand Pustak Parikrama' (Book Tour). These buses travel across various states and districts to host mobile book exhibitions, directly fostering reading habits in schools, colleges, and public spaces. This initiative is also known as 'Pustak Parikrama'. On Monday, July 6, this special bus arrived at Chinmaya Vidyalaya, Bokaro. Students and Teachers visited the exhibition and purchased books according to their interests. The bus was inaugurated by Secretary Shri Mahesh Tripathi. Also present were Principal Shri Suraj Sharma, Senior Vice Principal Mr. Narmendra Kumar and Vice Principal Dr. Roshan Sharma. From the Vidyalaya's Library department Pankaj Kumar Mishra, SN Jha and Ashutosh Kumar Chaubey were present. Students toured the bus in an organized queue. Books across various genres and categories were displayed to cater to their diverse interests. The "Library on Wheels" showcased a wide range of titles, including subjects like history, geography, and social sciences; literature in English, Urdu, and Hindi; as well as fiction and non-fiction works. During the visit, many students purchased books and expressed their intention to encourage their peers and families to do the same. Secretary Shri Mahesh Tripathi said, that books form the fundamental basis of a student's life. Reading books on various subjects not only enhances knowledge but also positively influences intellect, understanding, and perspective. He encouraged all students to visit the exhibition and to buy and read books. Principal Shri Suraj Sharma stated that books are the true companions of a student's life. It is books that shape the future. He stated that, considering the students' enthusiasm and interest in books, it is decided to set up this 'Library on Wheels' at Chinmaya Vidyalaya, Bokaro, on Tuesday, July 7, as well.

CHINMAYA AMRIT YATRA DAY 1 (CV Bokaro) The Chinmaya Amrit Yatra, carrying the holy padukas and emblems of the exemplary life of the Most Revered Gurudev Swami Chinmayananda Saraswati, arrived at Chinmaya Vidyalaya, Bokaro, on Friday, July 3. Prior to its arrival, a grand welcoming procession was organized from Balidih to the main gate of the school. Accompanied by a long queue of devout followers, the march proceeded from Balidih via Naya More, Bokaro Mall, and P&T More before culminating at the school premises. The momentous occasion was graced by Swamini Samyuktananda Saraswati - Resident Acharya of Chinmaya Mission Bokaro, Shri Harihar Raut - Secretary of Chinmaya Mission Bokaro, Shri Biswaroop Mukhopadhyay - President, Shri Mahesh Tripathi - Secretary, Shri Suraj Sharma - Principal of Chinmaya Vidyalaya, Shri Narmendra Kumar - Senior Vice-Principal and Dr. Roshan Sharma - Vice-Principal. Additionally, the entire faculty, student body, and parents of the institution remained present to mark the occasion. A special procession was organized from P&T More to the main school gate to receive the Amrit Yatra. A renowned Chhau dance troupe from Purulia delivered a captivating performance. Devotees enthusiastically danced to the tunes of devotional hymns. The sacred padukas and the idol of Gurudev were ceremonially driven to the school gate atop a beautifully decorated chariot. Upon reaching the entrance of Chinmaya Vidyalaya Bokaro, students extended a traditional welcome to the chariot by performing Jharkhand folk dances, a choreography set to the Hanuman Chalisa, and dance recitals dedicated to Lord Shri Ram. Furthermore, students of Class VI performed a collective recital of the 'Gita Panchamrit', which comprises five core verses from the Bhagavad Gita. The sacred padukas and the idol were subsequently enshrined at the Swami Tapovan Auditorium. The proceedings commenced with the ritualistic Paduka Pujan (worship of the footprints). Following this, the students and educators of the Chinmaya Transformation Circle presented a series of melodious devotional songs. The event concluded with the distribution of Samashti Bhiksha (consecrated food offerings) to all attending devotees. Notably, Brahmachari Sudhir Chaitanya and Tarini Chaitanya from the Chinmaya Yuva Kendra, along with Srividya, Ananya Agrawal, Arya, and several other dignitaries, accompanied the Amrit Yatra throughout the event.

On Thursday, the second day of the Chinmaya Amrit Yatra at Chinmaya Vidyalaya, Bokaro, students and youth were inspired with messages of self-development, discipline, and positive thinking. The Chinmaya Amrit Vahini visited several schools across the city, infusing students with positive energy and the motivational thoughts of Gurudev Swami Chinmayananda Saraswati. Brahmachari Sudhir Chaitanya and Tarini Chaitanya played pivotal roles in leading the Yatra. Additionally, the "Yuva Veers" from the Chinmaya Yuva Kendra motivated the students and faculty of Chinmaya Vidyalaya, Bokaro, guiding them through the ideals of Pujya Gurudev Swami Chinmayananda Saraswati. The event was attended by Swamini Samyuktananda Saraswati, President Shri Biswarup Mukhopadhyay, Principal Shri Suraj Sharma, Senior Vice-Principal Shri Narmendra Kumar & Vice-Principal Dr. Roshan Sharma. Addressing the students and faculty at Chinmaya Vidyalaya, Bokaro, the Yuva Veers of the Chinmaya Amrit Yatra spoke extensively on the glory of Gurudev and highlighted the profound values to be learned from his life. They also shared their personal experiences of being part of the Chinmaya Amrit Yatra, noting that joining the Chinmaya Youth Empowerment Programme had brought numerous positive transformations to their lives. They emphasized that the Chinmaya Mission teaches the true approach to serving society. As part of the initiative, the Amrit Vahini visited DAV Public School (Sector-06), Sree Ayyappa Public School, Bokaro City College & Saraswati Vidya Mandir (Sector-03) to interact with students. The young leaders addressed various queries raised by the students. Explaining the teachings of the Shrimad Bhagavad Gita in an accessible language, Brahmachari Sudhir Chaitanya and Tarini Chaitanya emphasized that self-confidence, right thinking, and continuous effort are vital for progress in life. The school students participated in the session with great enthusiasm. The evening session in Chinmaya Vidyalaya Bokaro Auditorium featured cultural programs, including bhajans, a Kathak dance performance, Ganpati Vandana & the screening of a documentary detailing the 75-year journey of the Chinmaya Mission. Video messages from Swami Chinmayananda were also presented to convey his philosophy to parents and students. The evening's Chief Guest was Chhotanagpur IG Shri Shailendra Kumar Sinha, alongside Guest of Honor, ED (HR) BSL Ms. Rajashree Banerjee. Directors, principals & Secretaries from various schools were also in attendance. In his address to the parents and students, Chief Guest Shri Shailendra Kumar Sinha emphasized that practical and social awareness are just as crucial as academic knowledge. Encouraging the students, he stated that everyone should be well-versed in Indian culture and take profound pride in it. Chinmaya Mission Bokaro Secretary Shri Harihar Raut proposed the votes of thanks.

The two-day Chinmaya Amrit Yatra concluded on July 5. On Sunday, the Yatra Vahini was flagged off from Chinmaya Vidyalaya Bokaro toward Chinmaya Mission Chas, proceeding further to Jamshedpur. The flag-off ceremony was graced by the esteemed presence of Swamini Samyuktananda Saraswati, President Shri Biswarup Mukhopadhyay, Secretary Shri Mahesh Tripathi, Treasurer Shri RN Malik, Principal Shri Suraj Sharma, Senior Vice-Principal Shri Narmendra Kumar, and Vice-Principal Dr. Roshan Sharma. The Amrit Yatra Vahini was given a solemn send-off amidst chants hailing Param Pujya Gurudev Swami Chinmayananda Saraswati. Prior to the departure of the Chinmaya Amrit Yatra Vahini, the Vidyalaya family paid their respects to Gurudev and sought his blessings. Attendees bowed before Gurudev’s padukas and many were visibly moved to tears while recalling his legacy. Prominent attendees at the event included N.C. Mishra, Punit Doshi, Supriya Choudhary, Sanjay Chakraborty, S.N. Jha, Sanjeev Kumar, Ranvijay Ojha, Rajnish Choudhary, Adarsh Acharya, Ravishankar, and Sagar Kumhar. On this occasion, Secretary Shri Mahesh Tripathi remarked, "Commemorating Gurudev and gaining such close insights into his exemplary life has been an unforgettable experience in itself. The Amrit Yatra is not merely a journey, but a flowing Ganges of Gurudev’s teachings, traversing continuously across India." He further emphasized that imbibing Gurudev's teachings is essential for everyone, noting that students, in particular, should draw inspiration from his life to honor their culture and history. Principal Suraj Sharma added, "This is a deeply memorable and emotional moment for all of us. The Chinmaya Amrit Yatra has infused a profound sense of energy throughout the entire Bokaro fraternity." The Chinmaya Amrit Yatra is being accompanied by Brahmachari Sudhir Chaitanya and Tarini Chaitanya from the Chinmaya Yuva Kendra, along with Yuva Veers including Srividya, Ananya Agrawal, Arya, Sumukh, Mohit Sharma, and Ratesh.
